The Liquor Lantern - Blanton’s Bourbon

A (sadly) empty bottle of Blanton's Bourbon.

I have coated the inside of the bottle with luminous resins of various colours and pretty much turned it into a lightbulb. I’ve fitted a UV LED ribbon that works like the filament.

This USB powered UV LED ribbon causes the hand-poured luminous coating to fluoresce and give out that lovely multicoloured light. Each pattern is random - entirely dependant on how it was poured.

The LED also charges the resin to a higher degree then white light, so the lamp will give a slowly fading glow for some time after power is removed.

Runs from a standard 5v USB plug.
